Did you know there are Orthodox iPhone/iPad apps? Sure, it sounds crazy that our little church fits into the same phone as Angry Birds and Fruit Ninja, but it’s true!
The coolest, newest app (and the only one designed by the Archdiocese) is the Daily Readings app. This little guy gets you the daily Gospel and Epistle readings, as you probably guessed, but it also gets you a ton more!
What else does it get you? I’m glad you asked! How about…
App Store – Daily Readings Paid
Now the big question. Drumroll please!
Will this let you keep your phone for the week of camp?
HA NO WAY! But it will help you prepare for camp, and it will help you keep connected with your faith. Can’t beat it!
Now, go shop on the iTunes store and pick up the free app. Feeling adventurous? Check out the added features of the paid app (with mom and dad’s approval, of course). Oh, and it’s available on Android, too!
*Available in the $.99 paid version.
Who’s got a high ropes course? We’ve got a high ropes course. Afraid of heights? Face your fear. After all, high ropes is safer than almost any activity, including shoe tying.
zipline – Oswegatchie Ropes Course.
Nothing builds fellowship quite like cheering each other on as we climb up the side of a tree to slide down a 350 foot zip line. Ask anyone who has been to camp about high ropes. As long as they actually tried it, they’ll all agree that it is one of the best parts of the week.
Wanna see what it feels like to fly? Try going for a trip 55 feet in the air over the pond. That’s what it feels like to fly.
We’re on Facebook! Sure, we’ve been there for a while, but you should definitely go and “like” us, if you haven’t yet. That way, you can keep track of the little messages posted throughout the year by Niko and Bill. Some of those messages are silly, and others are helpful!
You can also follow some of the amazing photos posted throughout the year from beautiful Camp Oswegatchie! Here’s our link…
Dear Friends in Christ!
The 2012 camp session is going to be great! What fun we had last year – but this year is going to be even better!
If you’ve come to camp in the past
Or you’ve never been
If you know everyone there
Or if you don’t know anyone
If you go to church every time the doors open
Or you haven’t been in awhile
If you love the outdoors
Or if you’re not so sure about the outdoors
St. Timothy’s is for you!
I can’t wait to see you at camp!!
All for Christ,
Fr. David
We have been hard at work preparing for St. Timothy Camp already. It seems like it’s far away, but trust me when I say that it will be here before you know it. We have set our dates for 2012, and they are:
Saturday – Friday
August 11 – August 17
The registration forms are posted, so please fill them out and get them to us as soon as you can!
